About me
The janky juman beyond the screen.
Hi! I’m Lee Carney — virtual assistant, herbalist-in-training, and just another janky human trying their best.
I’m based in Halifax, with clients scattered far beyond Yorkshire. I spent 20+ years developing and marketing consumer goods for retail. And after two decades of coffee, cigarettes, and deadlines as tight as a squirrel, my body got tired of being the canary in the coal mine and lit a match in my immune system instead.
Spoiler: Something had to give. I decided I didn’t want that to be my sanity or spleen.
From deadlines to dandelions
Natural remedies have always lived in my cupboard, but when I finally needed them to fix my body (not just make me look pretty), I was miffed I didn’t know more before now. Cue herbalist school. Because it turns out the city suburbs don’t hand out herbal secrets with your TV remote, so I signed up, dug deep, and started learning.

How I work (when I’m not doom-scrolling)
I’m organised (unless it involves calendars) and deeply analytical (unless there’s a sale on premium skincare). I’ve got an allergy to wasting time and a low frustration tolerance for tedium.
Clients come to me when they’re drowning in decisions, overdue invoices, or search engine invisibility. I don’t just bring order, I bring systems that stick, with enough dry humour to make the process bearable.
The pursuit of efficiency? Oh, it’s real
I’d walk around with a broomstick up my booty if it shaved five minutes off my day and no one complained. Instead, I’m all about digitisation, AI, and automation, the kind of stuff that lets us spend less brain power on task tedium, and more on the juicy stuff that lights us up.
Let’s detox your digital life
Are you ready for this?
Or would you prefer to continue with the Excel-haustion?
Because if you’re so overwhelmed you can’t make a decision, I’d recommend some lemon balm tea for your fried brain. And me. I’ll handle the back-end, so you can feel human again.
Honestly? I don’t separate the need for a digital detox from a bowel cleanse.
Both are always overdue, and your brain and body always thank you for them.
