Application of terms & conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to any work done for the Client by the Virtual Assistant.

Definitions

The term ‘Virtual Assistant’ refers to TaskmasterLeec.

The term ‘Client’ refers to the purchaser of services.

Bookings

The Virtual Assistant will provide service(s) as booked by the Client via the online calendar system or as mutually agreed and confirmed in writing.

Independence

The Virtual Assistant will work unsupervised at times and locations determined by her/him, using her/his own equipment. The Virtual Assistant is self-employed and responsible for her/his own tax obligations.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Payment terms

PAYG Clients: Payment must be completed 48 hours before booking. Failure to pay will result in cancellation.

Retainer Clients: Payment is required one month in advance.

Project-Based Clients: Initial invoices will be issued after two weeks, or as otherwise agreed.

Cancellations

PAYG Clients: Payment and payment confirmation must be completed at least 48 hours before the booking. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the booking.

Retainer Clients: Cancellations must be received at least 48 hours before the scheduled time slot if no longer required. Failure to provide notice within this timeframe will result in the forfeiture of the reserved block of time.

Project-Based Clients: Cancellation of work must be received at least 48 hours before the agreed start date. Failure to do so will incur a flat cancellation charge of £250.

Consultations

An initial 30-minute consultation is complimentary and must be scheduled in advance.

Meetings and expenses

The Virtual Assistant agrees to attend the Client’s premises or other locations for necessary meetings. Time spent at such meetings and any reasonable, pre-agreed expenses (e.g., travel) will be reimbursed by the Client.

Billable time

Billable time includes meetings outside of contracted hours and time spent reading or writing correspondence via email or post.

Expenses

All postage, printing, and stationery expenses incurred on behalf of the Client’s business will be added to the invoice for reimbursement.

Delivery of work

Work will be completed by the agreed deadline for the agreed fee, based on the initial brief provided by the Client. If significant additional work is identified after the initial agreement, the Virtual Assistant may renegotiate the fee and/or deadline with the Client.

Revisions and additional work

If additional tasks are requested during the project, the Virtual Assistant reserves the right to renegotiate the terms.
Amendments or alterations requested after work completion will be charged at the standard hourly rate unless they are due to errors made by the Virtual Assistant.

Fast turnaround requests

Urgent work requiring a fast turnaround may incur an additional fee, which will be discussed and approved by the Client before the work begins.

Delays or suspension of work

If a project is delayed or suspended due to Client actions, the Virtual Assistant will invoice for work completed up to that point, including any expenses incurred.

Final proofreading

The Client is responsible for proofreading and checking the final work. Any errors reported within three (3) days of receipt will be corrected free of charge if caused by the Virtual Assistant.

Invoicing and payments

PAYG Clients: Payment must be completed 48 hours before booking.

Retainer Clients: Payment is required one month in advance.

Project-Based Clients: Initial invoices will be issued after two weeks, with subsequent invoices as agreed.


All invoices are payable within 14 days of receipt unless otherwise agreed. Late payments will incur charges as per the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 (amended 2002 and 2013).

Payment method

Payments must be made via bank transfer (details provided on the invoice).
Work will not continue on overdue invoices until payment is received.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise agreed, any content created by the Virtual Assistant as part of the work contracted by the Client, including but not limited to documents, designs, or other materials, will become the property of the Client upon full payment for services rendered. This does not include templates for CRM systems, work operating systems, or any other proprietary materials developed by the Virtual Assistant for their own business use, which remain the intellectual property of the Virtual Assistant.

Subcontracting

The Virtual Assistant may, at their discretion, subcontract certain tasks to other professionals. However, the Virtual Assistant guarantees that any subcontracted work will meet the same standard, schedule, and confidentiality as outlined in this agreement.

Confidentiality

All work and Client details will remain confidential and will not be shared without prior written permission. Any subcontracted work will meet the same confidentiality, quality, and deadline standards.

Data protection

Both parties will comply with the UK GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) regarding personal data. Either party may request access to ensure records are relevant and up to date.

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement with 5 working days notice, provided that any outstanding fees for services rendered up to the date of termination are paid in full. Immediate termination may occur if there is a serious breach of the agreement.

Dispute resolution

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the issue through direct communication. If the dispute remains unresolved, both parties may engage in mediation or arbitration before pursuing litigation.

Governing law

These Terms & Conditions, along with any subsequent contracts agreed upon, are governed by the laws of England and Wales (or Scotland/Northern Ireland, as applicable). Both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales (or Scotland/Northern Ireland, as applicable) for any legal disputes arising under or in connection with these agreements.
